1,000 Homes for 1,000 Virginians Boot Camp WHO This event is for individuals and communities across the state that are: 1. Interested in learning more about the statewide 1,000 Homes initiative 2. Have joined the 1,000 Homes initiative and are planning a Registry Week The boot camp is a 3 day intensive training opportunity to enable communities to plan, network, develop a local team, and determine how to utilize existing committees and resources. Please bring as many people as you'd like (we recommend at least two). WHAT 1,000 Homes for 1,000 Virginians Boot Camp Learn how to prioritize housing the most vulnerable in your community and what tools you can use to do so! The training includes how to conduct a registry week and concludes with hands-on participation in the 1,000 Homes Richmond's registry week. WHEN July 29 - August 1, 2011 Begins 7pm on Friday, July 29 with a Meet and Greet Concludes 9 am Monday, August 1st after morning surveying and debriefing WHERE Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia COST To ensure that as many communities across Virginia can attend, VCEH is sponsoring the event and as such rates have been drastically reduced from the typical $500 per person (plus travel) to $75/person which includes training, materials, and breakfast.
